Why is the InsureMyRide brand being discontinued?

AAI Limited, the issuer of InsureMyRide insurance policies, has made a strategic business decision to discontinue InsureMyRide branded insurance policies and consolidate its brand offerings.

What if I need to make a change to my existing InsureMyRide policy?

Please continue to contact InsureMyRide on 13 24 53 or visit the My Insurance section of the website here.

What happens if I need to make a claim?

If you need to make a claim under your existing insurance policy with InsureMyRide, you can lodge here.

Why will eligible InsureMyRide customers receive an offer from Shannons*?

As InsureMyRide branded insurance policies will no longer be issued, AAI Limited may be able to continue to insure these customers under another brand.

Who is Shannons?

Shannons is an authorised representative of AAI Limited. AAI Limited is the issuer of insurance for both InsureMyRide and Shannons. Shannons is the insurance brand for motoring enthusiasts and offers many policy features with the comprehensive motorcycle insurance policy including^;

  • Choice of repairer
  • Lifetime guarantee on repairs authorised by Shannons

When will eligible InsureMyRide customers receive the offer from Shannons?

An offer will be sent to eligible InsureMyRide customers approximately three weeks before their current InsureMyRide policy expires.

What happens if I receive an offer but I don’t accept it?

If you receive an offer from Shannons and don’t accept the offer, it is important that you make alternative insurance arrangements with another insurer prior to the expiration date of your InsureMyRide policy if you wish to maintain insurance over your motorcycle.

What will the Shannons insurance cover?

If you receive an offer, it will be the same type of insurance – motorcycle insurance. However, the offer letter will contain relevant information about any differences as well as enclosing the Product Disclosure Statement and Supplementary Product Disclosure Statement which contains the information about the cover. You should read these documents to make sure the insurance meets your needs.

What if I need to make a change to my existing InsureMyRide CTP policy?

Please continue to email us at NSWCTP@insuremyride.com.au or through our “Contact Us’ page at www.insuremyride.com.au by selecting “NSW CTP (Greenslip) Enquiry” from the ‘Type of contact detail’.

What happens if I need to make a claim?

Why will InsureMyRide CTP customers receive an offer from Shannons**?

As InsureMyRide branded CTP insurance policies will no longer be issued, AAI Limited would like to be able to continue to insure you under another brand.

Who is Shannons?

Shannons is an agent and authorised representative of AAI Limited. AAI Limited is the issuer of insurance for both InsureMyRide and Shannons. Both companies are a part of Suncorp Group. Suncorp Group has a number of established and well-known insurance brands that offer CTP for customers.

When will I receive the offer?

The offer will be sent to you approximately six weeks before your current InsureMyRide CTP policy expires.

What happens if I don’t accept the offer?

CTP Green Slip Insurance is compulsory. If you don’t choose to accept the Shannons offer, it is important that you make alternative insurance arrangements prior to the expiration date of your InsureMyRide CTP policy to ensure coverage for your Motorcycle.

What will the Shannons insurance cover and will my price change?

The new Shannons CTP policy will offer exactly the same cover as your existing InsureMyRide CTP policy. All your details will be shown on the new Shannons Green Slip. The premium offered will also be the same as it would have been on your InsureMyRide policy.
