Updated Italian icon gets grunt, brakes and handling
The GTS300ie, as it says on the retro-looking vented side cover, is a bored and stroked update of the GTS250ie. In reality it's actually a 278cc engine, and never has an extra 28cc been put to better use.

There was a time when you used to have to get real cosy with your partner if you wanted to sit on the back of a scooter, but times have changed. The Burgman and other maxi-scooters mean you can perch up there and enjoy some roomy surrounds, but the way those scooters are designed means you're higher than the rider, which can affect handling.

Burger with the Lot. Suzuki's maxi-scoot is really a tourer in disguise. Filtering through peak-hour traffic on a Suzuki Burgman is akin to using a 20kg sledgehammer on a drawing pin - neither is suitable for the job, although they'll both complete the task. But, unlike the 20kg sledge-hammer, the 2008 Burgman 650 Executive has folding mirrors to make its design brief a little easier - not the normal, swiveling motorcycle items, but ones that swing in electronically with the touch of a button.
