Dan Reardon Returns To The AMA Supercross
Dan Reardon made his return on the weekend to the AMA Supercross Series in San Diego for Round 5, after his spectacular crash in the opening round.
The Qualcomm Stadium course was soft and rutted after intermittent showers fell in the San Diego area for most of the day. Whilst the crew did an unbelievable job, the deep ruts that developed in a few of the corners made the course very treacherous.
In Heat 1 Dan got off to a great start and he was the early leader for about a lap and a half. Ivan Tedesco then took the lead. Lots of action - Hill passes Reardon, and then passes Tedesco. The final positions at the chequered - Josh Hill wins, Ivan Tedesco, Davi Millsaps, and Dan Reardon finishing in 4th.
Dan qualified straight through to the main race, where he finished in 13th position, after 20 laps. Davi Millsaps won the San Diego Supercross.
Having crashed in round 1 and missing rounds 2-4 due to injury, Dan is currently sitting in 21st position in the overall point standings.
The series heads to the next round in Anaheim on the 13th February.
