Baby Blade Head Down Under

Honda's sleek and sporty CBR125R motorycle in red

For those first getting up on two wheels, Honda Australia has announced that its sleek and sporty CBR125R will be going on sale around the country from the end of May.

With racy Fireblade-esque styling, the pint-sized pocket rocket is sure to be a hit with entry level riders, who will appreciate both its good looks and its ease of use. The bike has been a sales smash hit in many overseas markets, where its smart styling has seen it stand out in a niche where choices are relatively limited.

Powered by a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection, the CBR125R is available in Millennium Red, Ross White, Graphite Black or Candy Tahitian Blue.

And to entice you that little bit more, Honda is offering an introductory $300 cash back to anyone who purchases a CBR125R before the end of August, giving the bike a recommended retail price of just $3990 plus ORC.

Honda Australia's National Sales Manager, Jason Nicholas, said he was thrilled with the latest addition to the Honda fleet. "There are plenty of younger riders out there who want access to an affordable bike that still offers the qualities and the look of a full blown sportsbike," he said. "Until now, there really hasn't been anything on the market to cater to this group of riders," he added.
